Sunday Painters Attempt World Record
The Sunday Painters will be taking part in a concert attempting to break the Guinness record for "longest concert by multiple artists" when they perform at a 10-day continuous musical tribute to the American auto industry.

The 240-hour "Assembly Line" show -- planned for March 20-30 -- will be hosted by AJ's Cafe in Ferndale. The Assembly Line concert will bring the two worlds together as the music marathon pays tribute to American workers, products and automobiles. The concert will call on musicians from all segments of society to come together in the heart of hard-hit Main Street America and help pay tribute to the down, but not out, American worker.

The Sunday Painters perform at 8:15pm on Sunday March 22nd. The entire concert will be available via a live webcast, so if you can't make it to the show you can still catch it on the web.

Sunday Painters To Play First "Cycles In The City"
Cycles In The City The Sunday Painters will be playing the first ever Cycles In The City event in Detroit on Saturday September 13th!

Detroit, a city forged from iron and shaped by ever changing musical movements unites at Cycles In The City. The muscle of motorcycles combined with our soul of Motown, Rock, Rap, Gospel and Country provide the backdrop for this one-day regional rally highlighting the new urban landscape of “The D”. Join thousands of police, firefighters, and fellow riders to launch a day of fun that benefits children’s charities.

The Sunday Painters will perform at 5pm on the Main Stage. For the first time ever The Sunday Painters will feature four vocalists as multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Jim Talbott joins the usual power-trio of Ron McPherson, Eric Freeman and Kyle Kipp for this special show. Also, make sure to check out the debut of Sunday Painters guitarist Ron McPherson as a solo performer! Ron will be playing and singing some of his favorite songs over on the Acoustic Stage at 6:40pm.

Hamtramck Blowout The Sunday Painters will be performing at the tenth annual Metrotimes Hamtrack Blowout. Sunday PaintersThe Sunday Painters are a three-piece power pop band based in Detroit, Michigan. Their sound can be described as having catchy, hook laden vocal melodies and harmonies with hard edged guitars and a powerhouse bass and drum rhythm section. Although they have been compared to some of today’s power pop acts, you can also hear the influence of some of the best pop rock acts from the 60’s in the Sunday Painter’s sound. Think Sloan/Fountains of Wayne meets The Who/The Kinks. The Sunday Painters live for their performances, but the band firmly believes that it all starts with great songs.

The Sunday Painters were started by the songwriting duo of Ron McPherson and Eric Freeman. Their songs have received airplay both locally and regionally, and charted on college and independent radio. With Ron on guitar and Eric on drums, the duo started playing live shows in the Detroit music scene in the fall of 2000 using a line up of guest musicians. In 2007, the duo became a power trio with the addition of Kyle Kipp on bass. All three members sing vocals, allowing the band to perform the thick pop harmonies that they write to accompany their driving guitar-bass-drum arrangements.

The Sunday Painters are firm believers in independent music and self promotion. They have their own website, www.sundaypainters.com, where fans can get Sunday Painters Live information about the band, listen to audio clips of Sunday Painters songs, view photos and video from live shows and recording sessions and most importantly, find out about upcoming shows. Every live show brings more fans to the bands following and website. Along with their live shows and website, the band maintains a mailing list and a street team to keep people informed of upcoming events.
